Okay I don't usually watch movies cuz I really don't go anywhere but when I was still with a past girlfriend I went to see a movie with her call The stepford wives...That movie was a total waste of 2 hours of my life. I would give anything just to gain those 2 precious hours back.

The Grudge
The Ring 2
Lady in the Water (DON'T QUESTION ME. I HATED IT. KJSDGHKJLSGHJKLHSD)

I guess I'm one of those people that can appreciate just about any movie if they put their mind to it... that can see the intentions of the director and respect their vision...

That's why I kind of like the original The Ring.

... and that's why I hated The Ring 2 and The Grudge.

.. Lady in the Water? @_@ I'm just sick of M. Night Shalaymenadhinstein ending EVERY SINGLE MOVIE with a 'totally unexpected' twist!

.. Yeah. Those are my top three.

ALSO. I liked Donnie Darko because Frank is a freakin' awesome character, and because it's SUCH an AWESOME movie all the way through...

... but the ending looks like... my god. The director ran out of film and so just spliced a bunch of scenes together.

The ending was such crap. It wasn't even an 'I dun git it' bad ending. It wasn't like.. a twist that nobody got. It was like the director didn't KNOW what he wanted in the last scene, and so tried to make up some metaphorical twist-ical shit that'll keep the media talking about his greatness. IT. SUCKED.

That made Donnie Darko into a total disaster, at least for me... it's one of my favorite movies of all time, but yeah. I'm willing to throw it to the dogs as one of the most disappointing films I've ever seen.

(Seriously, watch it. You'll most likely LOVE IT all the way through and then shriek 'DOUBLE-YOU TEE EFF?!' at your TV screen at the end. If you have the time, watch it twice. Once with the director's cut, and the second time with the theatre version. TOTALLY different stories. The first is about time travel, and the second is about skitzophrenia AND YES I SPELLED THAT WRONG. Story one, you.. understand a lot of stuff that they removed. About what a lot of objects and materials in the movie really mean. Story two, you FEEL Donnie's fear... dunno why they couldn't combine them. Haha, end parentheses.)

Okay Spades I'm sorry to Say that I actually liked Lady in the water. The whole thing about a water nymph and all that guardian stuff. I enjoyed the suspense. but Ring 2 that was a waste of time I'll have to agree.

Everything you've said about donnie darko is 100% so true. I'm actually positive that they just ran out of time and went for cheap mystery. Like, not actually working for what they hoped to achieve and instead leaving you to try and MAKE something of it.

You are so right.

@_@ Thank you so much for agreeing with me! That's always been gnawing at my mind... glad to have a positive response after putting that out in the popen.
