I was just wondering if anyone knows..

How do people make such insane video effects? Do they use a certain program? If you know, please tell me the name of a popular one..

They are done with very expensive programs called video editing software. Good examples would be Adobe Premiere Pro, and Pinnacle Studio. You have one program on your computer already (comes with windows) and it's called Windows Movie Maker. It's a really simple and, to be blunt, crappy editing program. But it's a start. I've made some killer videos with Windows Movie Maker, so anything's possible.

That's not what I mean. I use uLead VideoEditor 8.0.

You completely misunderstood me. Look at that video I mentioned.. That little black creature with yellow eyes makes a big ray into the sky.. I don't see me making that with Windows Movie Maker..

Nevermind.. it's called Adobe After Effects.. Gonna check this out.

Yeah, but premiere editing software will make those effects, like the addon you mentioned. You're right though, Windows Movie Maker is garbage and doesn't do any advanced stuff. I was just telling you that these are effects applied to videos in the editing process.
